Devanie and Teddy's story began during their undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They both elected to spend their freshman year at Witte Hall, where they met and and became best friends right away. After many days jumping around at Badger football games, and countless "date nights" at the dining hall, they would go as a couple to fall formal and never look back. After graduation, Teddy returned to Minneapolis to begin his career at Cargill, and Devanie was accepted to UW-Madison PA School! Teddy and Devanie would drive to and from as often as possible, continuing their badger traditions. Devanie moved in with Teddy in Minneapolis after she began her clinical rotations in Minneapolis in 2019, and ended up getting a full time job there as well. They’ve since moved to Northeast Minneapolis and gotten a little Cavalier King Charles named Bennett! Teddy finally popped the question in February of 2021. He planned a date night by the lake in Wayzata, where some of their favorite date spots have been. He got down on one knee by the water and (maybe in part due to it being the coldest night of the winter) she said yes right away!
